Search Underway for BBC Presenter Missing on Greek Island

Michael Mosley, a well-known presenter of BBC science and lifestyle programs, has been reported missing on the Greek Island of Symi.

According to reports from UK publications, including The Daily Mail, Mosley, who also works as a columnist for the paper, disappeared after going on a hike on Wednesday.

Adriana Shum, a contributor to the Friends of Symi Facebook group, stated that Mosley was last seen setting off for a walk from Agios Nikolaos Beach at 1:30 PM local time on Wednesday.

An update on Thursday revealed that a search and rescue team had been sent from Athens with drones and other tools to aid in the search efforts.

Mosley has been a fixture on BBC television for over 16 years, presenting various science and lifestyle shows. He is known for his willingness to undertake on-screen experiments, including his role in popularising the intermittent fasting diet in "Eat, Fast And Live Longer."

Aside from his television work, Mosley hosts the "Just One Thing" podcast for the BBC and has presented shows for Channel 4, such as "Michael Mosley: Secrets of Your Big Shop."
