Ferry services across Greece have been significantly disrupted due to strong gale-force winds sweeping through the Aegean Sea.
Wind speeds have reached 8 Beaufort, with gusts exceeding 10 Beaufort in some areas, according to the Hellenic National Meteorological Service (EMY).
Numerous ferry routes have been suspended, including departures from major ports like Piraeus, Rafina, and Lavrio. Services to the Cyclades islands have been particularly affected.
Passengers are advised to contact their travel agents or local port authorities for the latest updates on ferry schedules and potential delays.
The EMY has issued a weather warning for strong winds across much of the country, with heavy snowfall expected in mountainous regions.
