Olivia Wilde and Emma Roberts Step Out in Style for ZIMMERMANN in Mykonos

Olivia Wilde and Emma Roberts Turn Heads at ZIMMERMANN’s Star-Studded Summer Celebration in Mykonos

In a scene of sun-drenched glamour and effortless style, Hollywood’s elite descended upon the Greek island of Mykonos this week for a ZIMMERMANN summer event that epitomised jet-set chic. Leading the arrivals were actresses Olivia Wilde and Emma Roberts, each commanding attention in floor-length gowns that blended understated elegance with bold fashion statements.

Wilde, 41, opted for a daring black halter-neck dress, cut low at the front with sharply tailored side cut-outs. A gold chain necklace added a hint of shimmer to the look, while her sleek updo and bronzed makeup palette channelled the Grecian setting with grace. Meanwhile, Roberts stunned in a sheer, nude snake-print gown, paired with pearl-detailed sandals and retro sunglasses — a nod to island bohemia with a refined twist.

The event, hosted on Wednesday by the iconic Australian fashion house, drew a crowd as glamorous as its setting, reaffirming Mykonos' reputation as a summer playground for the rich and famous.

A Historic Playground of the Glitterati

For decades, Mykonos has held its place on the global style circuit — a magnet for supermodels, designers, actors, and moguls who seek both privacy and spectacle. Since the 1960s, when Jackie Onassis was first photographed strolling through the town’s narrow alleys, the Cycladic island has evolved from quaint fishing village to international icon.

Grace Kelly, Brigitte Bardot, Elizabeth Taylor and Sophia Loren all holidayed here at the height of their fame. In the modern era, Beyoncé, Leonardo DiCaprio, Lindsay Lohan, and Kendall Jenner have all been spotted either yachting off its coast or partying beneath its windmills. Mykonos’ unique ability to merge barefoot luxury with a roaring nightlife keeps it firmly planted on the A-list summer itinerary — and events like ZIMMERMANN’s  keep that legacy alive and well.

Wilde’s ZIMMERMANN Moment

The Mykonos celebration comes amid a high-profile season for Olivia Wilde, who not only starred in the event’s centrepiece campaign but is also balancing a packed professional slate. Wilde recently wrapped her role in Gregg Araki’s provocative new thriller I Want Your Sex alongside Charli XCX and Cooper Hoffman, and is set to direct the highly anticipated film adaptation of Avengelyne, produced by Margot Robbie.

Just days before the event, Wilde debuted a series of images from her ZIMMERMANN photoshoot on the island. Posing against Mykonos’ sun-bleached architecture, she wore a flowing peach and cream maxi skirt with soft ruffles, paired with a deep-toned fitted top and tailored jacket. The look was a study in contrast: romantic yet structured, earthy yet elevated.

In a separate appearance at a ZIMMERMANN lunch on 17 June, Wilde stunned again — this time in a plunging black maxi dress with sculptural side cut-outs. Her accessories included a natural woven tote and minimal jewellery, again embracing Mykonos’ effortlessly chic sensibility.

Wednesday’s event saw a who’s who of rising and established stars. Euphoria actress Storm Reid embraced high-summer style in a breezy black and white printed dress paired with slip-on sandals, while Lady Kitty Spencer brought ladylike charm in a blue-and-white polka dot dress finished with a red bow.

Actress Ruby Sear turned heads in a white floral mini, while Game of Thrones star Nathalie Emmanuel opted for a sunshine-yellow strapless gown with matching wedges. Other standout looks included Jessica Henwick’s tailored navy shorts and knit jumper ensemble, and Anna Shaffer’s peach-toned floral maxi dress worn with towering brown wedges.

Also in attendance were Saffron Hocking in a striking blue and white plunging dress, Isan Elba in a nautical navy slip, and Australian actress Maia Mitchell, who added a rebellious edge in a white lace gown paired with black leather boots.
