Nikos Oikonomopoulos postponed his appearance in Thessaloniki due to health problems.

According to Proto Thema, his throat is in bad shape and despite cortisone injections to help him cope with his schedule, he finds it difficult to sing.

Stamatina Tsimtsili, who traveled with the artist, explained his health problems on the Happy Day show.

More specifically, she said: "His appearance was postponed on Saturday night and I succeeded him. We were traveling together on the way back."

"His neck sucks. From what his people told me, he had cortisone injections so he could even go out and sing, but it was impossible.

"Nice and sweet Nikos, by the way," the presenter then added about the beloved singer.

Nikolaos "Nikos" Oikonomopoulos (Greek: Νικόλαος Νίκος Οικονομόπουλος) was born 30 June 1984. He came to fame after appearing on the Greek talent show Dream Show - The Music 2, of which he was the winner.

He is the top contemporary male singer in the latter half of the decade with a huge number of album sales.
