Turkish analysts claim that the Atmaca missiles will "allow us to trap the Greek fleet in its ports." Speaking to CNN Türk, they also claim that "our systems will block all of Greece."

Turkish analysts and Turkish media are discussing an attack on Greece while simultaneously publishing maps that show how a battle between the two countries will unfold.

SKAI's correspondent in Istanbul, Manolis Kostidis, comments that actions in Turkey are negatively affecting the so-called good climate that currently exists between the two countries.

He highlights these new efforts come at a time when a meeting between Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is imminent.

Specifically, Turkish analysts report that "with the Atmaca missiles, we will be able to trap the Greek fleet in its ports". Speaking to CNN Türk, they claim that "our systems will block all of Greece".

Military analyst Abdullah Ağar commented, “The Atmaca missile is a project that makes us proud. It changes the terms of the game. For example, although we would not like it, this system would block all of Greece if we had tensions. Greece will not be able to take its ships out of its ports. There is so much value in this system."

For his part, the director of Hürriyet, Ahmet Hakan, said: "It can be launched from our frigates and corvettes, and at the regional level, we are creating a deterrent force. Like in Libya, in Somalia, where we also have an agreement, our ships will begin to acquire a deterrent force.”

Turkish media targeting Greece

According to Manolis Kostidis, Turkish media reports that "with our missiles, we can inflict blows on mainland Greece" and that "we can and do defend the Blue Homeland."

"What does this rocket do? It has a range of 260 kilometres. Know that the distance from Karabournaki (Καραμπουρνάκι, Turkish: Karaburun) [in Smyrna (Σμύρνη, Turkish: İzmir)] to mainland Greece is 154 kilometres. You understand...” said the president of the strategic research centre, Asam, Eray Guçlüer.

"You see... here is the Black Sea. The Tayfun missile can also be launched with a range of 1,000 kilometres. We also have the SİPER anti-aircraft system. So we have the ability to defend our motherland, our Blue Homeland, and our Heavenly Country...” he added.

The ambassador of Greece presented his credentials to Erdoğan

At the same time, the new ambassador of Greece, Theodoros Bizakis, presented his credentials to Erdoğan on Tuesday.

In fact, according to Manolis Kostidis, the Greek ambassador will also be preparing for Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis's visit to Ankara in May.
