Loutraki: 4 delicious places to eat at the favourite beach town close to Athens

Paladar

A culinary journey with interesting dishes and a relaxing atmosphere

Easter may be over, but sunny excursions are only beginning, and we have five tasty reasons for a visit to Loutraki, the favourite sea destination for Athenians. It is no coincidence that it is one of the most popular tourist resorts near the Greek capital.

Loutraki, as it is known, combines crystal clear waters with beautiful nature, options for relaxation and entertainment, remarkable archaeological monuments and, of course, delicious food.

Let's look at four places, each of them an excellent reason to take the car, our good mood, and, of course, our appetite to eat in Loutraki.

1. Paladar, for a unique sense of affordable luxury

Paladar

A culinary experience inspired by the Mediterranean, with refined raw materials and imaginative presentation. Owner-chef Sotiris Filippou experiments with flavours, textures, colours, and aromas—what more can one ask for when visiting a good restaurant?

The grouper fricassee is one of the restaurant's best dishes, as is the gnocchi with parmesan cream and the pavlova for dessert.

Overlooking the Gulf of Corinth, Paladar offers early coffee and breakfast, arriving to meet our needs for lunch and dinner in a chill atmosphere characterised by warm hospitality and high aesthetics.

2. Maistrali, for familiar Greek delicacies

Maistrali

If you haven't eaten seafood giouvetsi in Maistrali, you haven't tasted Loutraki. The options vary but are well-cooked and based on fresh ingredients: pork cooked in wine, shrimp skewers, crab meatballs, and even paella. There is no shortage of fresh fish options.

In June 1997, this extraordinary family business opened its doors with the love of work and the passion for creation.

3. Ami, for pizza and peinirli that will drive young and old alike crazy

Ami pizzeria Loutraki

If you want to eat delicious family Italian food that will fill you up without going gourmet, Ami is the place for you.

Pasta, delicious pizzas with fresh dough, and the unsurpassed (among other things) peinirli with pastourma and kaseri will satisfy the whole family and give a touch of pleasure to your trip to Loutraki without spending a large amount of money.

On the plus side, the large portions and prompt, courteous service are what you're looking for.

4. At GRC Steakhouse Co. Loutraki, for excellent cuts and grilling of meats

GRC Steakhouse Co. LoutrakiHere, you'll find souvlaki, burgers and deliciously junky (but good quality) appetisers for a perfect post-swim lunch or dinner, just what you need when you are very hungry.

You can order whatever you want to enjoy, takeaway, in hand, or sit down. The square is suitable for families with children as there is plenty of space to play.

You will find portions of meats, salads, fries and generous wraps. It's no wonder that the shop is usually full - the locals also prefer it, so we visitors rush in every time we visit Loutraki.
